Yule Brook Main Drain Bruce Road Culvert Upgrade

To reduce flooding risk and improve the performance of the drainage network at Yule Brook Main Drain in Wattle Grove.

Construction is scheduled to take place between January 2027 and May 2027

We are currently completing planning and approvals for the project. Nearby residents and stakeholders will be informed before construction begins.
What’s happening?
As part of upgrades to the drainage network, Water Corporation will be performing upgrades to a culvert on
Bruce Road in Wattle Grove. Water Corporation will temporarily close a section of Bruce Road, near
Welshpool Rd East, during construction work.
The new culvert will improve the capacity of the drainage network and reduce the likelihood of flooding during major rainfall events.
The project is located on Bruce Road in Wattle Grove, at the Yule Brook crossing between Hale Road and Welshpool Road East.
Road Closure details
To complete these works safely and efficiently, we will need to temporarily close a section of Bruce Road:
Maamba Road will remain open.
How will this impact me?
During construction, people in the area may notice:
- Increased vehicle and contractor activity
- Temporary traffic management and changed traffic conditions on Bruce Road
- Construction noise during approved working hours
- Temporary changes to pedestrian access near the work area
We will work closely with residents, businesses, local government and transport providers to minimise disruptions wherever possible.
Advance notice will be provided before any significant traffic changes or construction activities begin.
