More than a quarter of household water goes on lawns and gardens. So, making sure your irrigation system is running efficiently can result in big water savings.

Customers in Perth and Peel can now claim a rebate of up to $200 when they engage a Waterwise Garden Irrigator to address specific issues with your system.

Make the most of the Waterwise Irrigation Rebate by booking your service as soon as possible, from one of these Waterwise Garden Irrigators

What does the offer include?

To qualify for the rebate, the service must include:

  • Detecting and repairing pipe leaks, and/or
  • Replacing or repairing faulty solenoid valves.

Every service will include a check of the automatic controller and, if required, an adjustment.

This rebate is to assist with the cost of fixing specific high water-waste irrigation issues, not for general maintenance checks.

This rebate is a limited offer and is only available on eligible services completed between 1 September 2025 and 31 May 2026.

What to look for?

Leaking pipes and broken solenoid valves are two of the most common causes of irrigation faults that waste water.

While not all irrigation leaks are visible, there are signs to look out for including:

  • Wet, soggy or spongey area of lawn
  • Area of lawn that is greener than the rest
  • Dry patch of lawn
  • Wet sand around valve box
  • Uneven paving or mould
  • Low water pressure
  • High water use

Frequently asked questions

We have included services which are proven to save significant amounts of water. These have been included following consultation with Irrigation Australia and experienced Waterwise Specialists. With demand for water continuing to increase, this is our priority.

This rebate is to help with the higher cost of more complex breaks in the system that can waste the most water. A broken pipe or master solenoid valve can leak continuously, not just when your irrigation is on. Sprinklers are generally easy and cheap to replace. It’s your choice which irrigator you use to fix your irrigation, but to claim the rebate only Waterwise Garden Irrigators who have been appointed to work on the program are eligible. You will need a checklist to complete the rebate application which is available from these program irrigators.

Waterwise education is a vital part of our rebate programs. We are keen to assist customers to learn how to best manage their irrigation systems for the long term. Automatic controllers, for example are often set incorrectly so your irrigator will be able to explain what needs to be changed to ensure your garden is getting the right amount of water. Also, your irrigator can explain any system repairs. In exceptional circumstances we may consider alternative arrangements.

Rebates will be reviewed subject to the terms and conditions of the program. If your rebate is approved, you will receive a credit up to $200 to your Water Corporation account. In exceptional circumstances, we may consider alternative arrangements and you must request this by emailing rebates@watercorporation.com.au. Approved rebates will be processed within eight weeks of the application date.

You will receive an email from us advising that your rebate has been successful. Your rebate will then be credited to your Water Corporation account. Please note that your bill does not specifically reference the Waterwise Irrigation Rebate. We will contact you via email if we need any additional information to process your rebate.
