Glenleigh wastewater pump station upgrades

What’s happening?

Construction and installation of the new odour control system is now complete.

To help us improve in the future, we are seeking your feedback on our project delivery.

 The work included:

• Installation of a temporary odour control unit.
• Decommissioning of the existing odour control system
• Construction of a new upgraded odour control system

When is this happening?

• Design of the new system has now been completed. We have installed a temporary odour control unit and in preparation for construction of the new system, we will be decommissioning and removing the old odour system. The decommissioning works will commence 16th of April.
• Construction of the new odour control system is underway and expected to be completed by the end of July 2024.

How will this impact me?

As with any construction activities, there will be an increase in vehicle movement and  noise in the area including outside of normal work hours.

Minor traffic management may be required at times to direct vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists safely around the work area. 

You may experience some odour during construction however we will do our best to minimise the impact.

We appreciate that this work may be impactful and thank you for your patience and understanding while we complete this important work.

What will happen next?

We will work closely with residents, school and community groups throughout the upgrade.

All work will be confined to the wastewater pump station site.
