Wungong Dam upgrade

To restore the condition of the aging infrastructure. This work will ensure continued reliability of the the dam and its safe drinking water for the future.

What's happening?
The Wungong Dam upgrades were completed between June 2022 and November 2023 by our authorised contractor, Civcon. This work was completed to ensure the ongoing reliability of the dam which ensures safe drinking water for the future.
During this work, an additional scope of work was identified. This work will commence in March and take around two months to complete.
Civcon will return to site on Monday 18 March 2024. Work will be completed between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.
How will this impact the community?
Springfield Road, including the upper picnic area, will be closed from Monday 18 March until the end of April 2024. The lower picnic area, accessible from Admiral Road, will remain open during this time.
Visitors to Wungong Dam may notice an increase in noise, construction equipment and activity in the area. We ask that you are extra vigilant on the roads during this time to ensure the safety of yourself and workers.
