A shrub to as much as 4 metres high but usually much less and can be kept to size by pruning. It has a mostly upright habit, long fine foliage and poker flowers held clear of the foliage at any time of year but more commonly in the spring. The most common flower colour is pink but white and cream forms have been recorded. Bird attracting. This plant may only be available at specialist nurseries.
