• Dr Jemma Green appointed to Water Corporation board

  • Board members are appointed to develop the Water Corporation's strategic direction

Acting Water Minister Simone McGurk today welcomed the appointment of Dr Jemma Green to the Water Corporation board.

 

The board, in consultation with management, develops the Water Corporation's strategic direction and ensures rigorous corporate governance standards are met.

 

Dr Green is currently a Research Fellow and PhD candidate at Curtin University; on the advisory board of Carbon Tracker; a founding board member of Future Super, Australia's first fossil fuel free superannuation fund; and a City of Perth Councillor.

 

Dr Green established The Green Enterprise, a consultancy which helps business and government to plan and make decisions for a sustainable future.

 

The Water Corporation board is appointed by the Governor of Western Australia, on the nomination of the Minister for Water.

 

Current board members include Michael Hollett (chairman), David Lock (deputy chairman), Nicole Lockwood, David Rowe, Ross Holt and Sue Murphy (chief executive officer).
