The Integrated Water Supply Scheme provides water to more than 2 million people in Perth, Mandurah, the Goldfields and Agricultural Region and parts of the South West. In 2016-17, these 2 million people used 283 billion litres of water – that’s the equivalent of 125,778 Olympic swimming pools of water.

Water usage in the Metropolitan region and other areas

Usage and target usage reflects the whole Integrated Water Supply Scheme which supplies the Metropolitan area and some parts of the South West and Goldfields

Reducing the amount of water we all use and meeting targets will help secure a more climate resilient water supply.

Let's work together to reduce our water use

Start by ensuring that your sprinklers are set to water on your rostered watering days, and turn on just once before 9am or after 6pm.

Most of us can reduce our sprinkler run times by 2 minutes per station and still maintain a healthy garden.

Together we can make a big difference. For more tips see Programming your irrigation.
