Mamabulanjin Aboriginal Corporation sea container conversion
Mamabulanjin Aboriginal Corporation sea container conversion
In 2020, with the help of the Kimberley Community Grants scheme, Mamabulanjin transformed a sea container into an ablution block so they could offer training on site at their fruit farm.
The new ablution block is the latest addition to the 200-hectare property which aims to grow the native superfood, gubinge, amongst its many varieties, and teach horticultural skills to the community in the process.
Now that the facilities are plumbed in, Mamabulanjin is already planning for the next course intake, including Work for the Dole participants, as well as those eligible for Certificate II and III in Civil Works.
Its presence at the new farm means they can deliver more employment focussed training that has the potential to change lives.
Round 7 of the Kimberley Community Grants is now open. Visit the Round 7 page to apply and for further information! Grants close 4pm WST, 14 May 2021.
